Initially seeking 10,000 Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) through a request for empanelment, the ministry has now received offers for over 20,000 GPUs. Funding and Operational Model The IndiaAI Mission is backed by a substantial allocation of ₹10,370 crore. The program’s 36-month empanelment process can be extended by an additional year, ensuring long-term impact. Multiple Indian companies, including Raheja-controlled Yotto Infrastructure, Reliance Industries, and Tata Communications, have partnered with Nvidia to secure GPU resources. Highlights: Yotto Infrastructure has an agreement with Nvidia to source 16,000 GPUs, with 4,000 already delivered. Reliance Industries is building a large-scale AI computing center in Jamnagar using Nvidia’s Blackwell AI processors. Tata Communications has integrated Nvidia Hopper GPUs into its AI cloud infrastructure. Other Participants Apart from Nvidia-backed collaborations, 28 companies expressed interest in the program, with 19 submitting bids.
