Job Description

1. Designing and implementing systems and equipment procedures used in assembly and manufacturing
2. Setting up the new requirements, testing and monitoring equipment’s
3. Updating current system processes.
4. Conducting risk assessments
5. Developing and maintaining process strategies
6. Manging process resources
7. Optimizing current processes
8. Maintaining process documents
9. Ensuring smooth functioning of production lines
10. Coordinating process improvement projects
11. Focussing on designing, optimizing and operating various industrial processes.

Responsibility

1. Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
2. Assess processes, take measurements and interpret drawings
3. Evaluate process and equipment’s for cost efficiencies
4. Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
5. Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
6. Perform process simulations
7. Manage cost and time constraints
8. Perform risk assessments
9. Provide process documentation and operating instructions
10. Define supply chain requirements

Qualifications

1. The incumbent should have relevant bachelor / master’s in mechanical engineering or Manufacturing engineering. B-tech, BE mechanical and similar streams
2. Six Sigma green belt, Six sigma black belt, Project management professional
3. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in similar field of manufacturing and process engineering
4. Basic knowledge of Materials, machining, casting, forging, stamping.
5. Understanding of machining, tooling and fixtures for CNC machines, SPM’s & GPM’s
6. Working Knowledge of English, Tamil and communication is a must.

Skills

1. MS Office, excel and PowerPoint
2. Proficiency in English, Tamil language
3. Excellent technical skills
4. Experience in process simulations

Preference

1. Proven work experience in process engineering
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus and precision & Collaborate with counterparts in technology development.
3. Must possess good working knowledge of all functional elements and associated business rules within their assigned products.
4. Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
